Ways to promote the Children’s convention
If you are looking to promote the UNCRC (the Children’s Convention), here is some advice:
- Make sure you know the main principles of the UNCRC, in order to be able to relate news and information you get, to its content.
- Support the attempts to make the Children’s Convention a part of the law in your country. UNICEF has campaigns for this in some countries, i.e in Sweden.
- Make financial donations to instances that work to support the document, such as children’s rights organizations, independent human rights magazines or other associations.
- Ask your regional politicians how they contribute to this cause
- Join a study group, or build one yourself
- Write letters to newspapers, demanding changes in the area of children’s rights.
